OUR MISSION      

Barn Cat Buddies, Inc. is a 501C 3 non-profit, charitable Organization comprised of volunteers with a common mission dedicated to protecting, rescuing, and improving the lives of cats in need through advocacy, education, and community engagement.

ABOUT BARN CAT BUDDIES & FELINE FRIENDS

Barn Cat Buddies was originally created to save feral/skittish cats in the Southwest and Central regions of Virginia from a life of hunger on the streets, or being destroyed in local shelters. Our cats are sterilized and rabies vaccinated prior to moving to their new homes. Barn Cat Buddies does not have a physical facility to house animals awaiting placement.

You may have noticed a slight change to our name, but we are STILL the same great organization that you've come to know and love. We still TNR community cats and help others find new lives as Barn Cats. We have just added a little extra to let you know what we've been doing for the last few years.

This is how it came about...every so often we would intermittently trap a social cat while working on a colony. We didn't go looking for them but they found us, and that's just how rescue works!

They didn't belong outside and most barns wanted feral cats - so we had a dilemma - that was until Pet Supplies Plus offered to become our adoption partner in their Salem store. And most recently The Toebean Cat Cafe in Roanoke has generously given us a second venue to showcase these friendly felines. 

So after putting our heads together, we decided that adding a few extra words to our established name would let the community know ALL that we encompass.  

After all, they all need homes!
