About the Donna Sink Pediatric Fund

The Donna Sink Pediatric Fund (DSPF) is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to supporting families in Franklin County, VA, who have children with significant medical needs. Established in 2005 in memory of Donna Sink, a beloved teacher assistant at Sontag Elementary School, our fund continues her legacy of care and compassion by providing financial assistance to families facing medical adversities.

Since our founding, DSPF has distributed over $192,000 to local families, easing the financial burden of medical care, travel expenses, hospital stays, medical equipment, and accessibility needs. With no overhead costs, every dollar donated goes directly to helping families in crisis.

We rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community fundraisers—such as cookbook sales, music concerts, and golf tournaments—to sustain our mission.
